@Wifflewaff You idiot...you fail to mention all the other taxes like sales tax for example, having been replaced by the GST. At least with a GST , it taxes the 'under the table' money which amounts to a rather large portion of tax revenue which was previously not collected. Read your facts first mate

Just to think back on the party who bought in the gst which currently taxes each and every person within australia right from the poor to the rich. If that's not a big tax then what is. And the gst can go up at any time and to think that howard said before the liberal party were elected that there will never be a gst. Would you like to say that again johnny?
