They equate the number of time periods with the cash!! The government THINKS these ppl know what's best for anothers child. This is ridiculous.

Both. Teachers there don't get much for time either. Some of my best friends are teachers. No need to get nasty with me. . . homeroom was the only true time they had to themselves. . . even tho they had a classroom full of kids.

6 to 7 classes a day! I sympathize with the teachers AND students. Come on, think of it- Why do students study in the first place? While knowing academic and worldly literature is appreciated, but, what if at the expense of defeating the purpose in the first place? Perhaps my ideals may not be what others agree, wholesome quality education is the point-Education that addresses not just the choice but also diversity of specialized interests and importantly spirituality (we are humans, not robots!)

teachers must bow down to bureaucrats and accept they are not in some country where teachers are still culturally respected.they ought to realize they can moan but rather than try to act like if they have rights, they should play games in class and just appease parents.if this sounds cynical, then ask yourself why teachers decade after decade have to play psychologist, parent.their pay also sucks for people who go to a university and then get a teaching degree.

Shit. . . . 6 or 7 periods. Try 8 where I grew up. And that's not including homeroom!!

Is that 8 periods as a student or as a teacher? Multiply that by the number of students and by the number of assignments that need to be graded by the teacher.
