Many say, Elvis The King. If Buddy had lived it would have been Buddy the King but his untimely death caused Elvis to get the title. I like Elvis but Buddy is still the King.

The people who were present and those watching at home could scarcely have realised they were witnessing one of the true innovators and pioneering talents of music in the 20th century. Taken from us all too soon by a mixture of other people's greed, narrow mindedness and incompetence, Buddy Holly's name and music lives after him as a legacy that deserves to be cherished and appreciated with care.
