where the hells the squared come into it? aint it just a+b=c? 6+8=c so 'c' would end up being14?

No...she's right in this equation. Use +- in harder equations like completing a square

Nice but also wrong, at the end she says that x = 10, thats not competely right. The true answear is that +10 and -10 in square = 100. So she sould write X square = +- 10, but there no negative numbers in geometry, so you pick the positive one. She sould mention that, someone could make an algebric mistake..
