@MACBETH652 USA had to train its troops and build an entire military to be able to cope with the advanced German troops and equipment before they could enter the war. The US attacked the beaches of Europe; the beginning of the counter-attack - if it weren't for America the Allies would have lost WW2. They also built the first nukes to drop on Japan.

@MurphDog2007 Sorry i was wrong about the thierself, it isn't a word. However the point still stands that just because Hollywood is in america doesn''t mean they have to make films just about americans. Especially if you have to get an englishman to play the main part.

@MurphDog2007 Well he makes factual sense that america doesnt really do anything till they really need too...but emm it would make perfect sense to make a movie about something other than theirself...ever seen the movie avatar, or lord of the rings? I'm sure the directors didnt write that about their selfs or country? but nevertheless your both wrong, because their are many a'hollywood films based on war outside america..
