@Leatherbubba Your impression is way off.
Laymon's body of work has more diversity and depth than 'psychotic killers and big breasted bimbos' you should read his Beast House novels and his short stories to witness his vast imagination. Laymon was a Splatterpunk writer so maybe he was too much for you *shrugs* Laymon wrote a certain type of story and he knew what was expected of him from his fans. He wrote more real world horrors than paranormal.

Here's my impression of every Laymon novel ever.
"As the psychotic, naked killer stood over us,ready to strike with his axe, I couldn't help but notice how hot Tina's breast looked in that shirt."

@Leatherbubba If he was such a junky writer why would King and Ketchum endorse him and why did he receive numerous awards? Also which of his novels have you read? Maybe his style and stories aren't your cup of tea.
Peace.

@EndlessLaymon I like Laymon, but come on. He has his cliches just like alot of other writers.

@Leatherbubba Yeah he has trademarks and maybe a cliché or two but you can't just describe all his writing as''As the psychotic, naked killer stood over us,ready to strike with his axe, I couldn't help but notice how hot Tina's breast looked in that shirt." Like that sums up all of his novels. You can't boil his novels down to that one sentence.
Peace.

@EndlessLaymon Jokes require exaggeration. It was mainly about how hilarious I found it that the main character in "Island" constantly sexualy objectifies the female characters, no matter what happens.
