An experimental drug appears to be helping people who suffer from memory loss associated with Alzheimer's disease. The drug is called Dimebon. Early trials in Europe and Russia show it improves people's memories. Now another study is taking place in the United States, as VOA's Deborah Block reports.
It improves memory for a year? Then what happens after that year?

Dimebon was used as an antihistamine and later they found out it inhibited nmda cytotoxicity and now is in advanced phases of testing in Alzheimers, very interesting molecule !

My friend may have Alzheimers and is taking Aricept and Namenda but I think I am being lied to by his family!
They say he does not have Alzheimers!
They should not be lying to me as I feel betrayed!
