  • gorgeous, goes lovely, is it loosely based on the conway

  • @Encore1332

    no.

its a model of a Hunslet. Search 'Jerry M' or 'Cackler'

a conway is loosely based on them

  • Is this a Maxitrac manufactured loco?

  • @silver760

    no no no

this is a homebuilt one. dont know who by.

allot better than a maxitrak anyway.

  • @andyg3 Thanks for the reply. It certainly has the same level of quality to it as a Maxitrak loco.Whoever built yours did a lovely job of it,very professionally made.At this scale it turns out at a great size for a 3.5" gauge loco as the prototype is narrow gauge.Do you have your own track or do you run on a club track? Was the boiler on this loco made by the builder or is it one made by a boiler specialist? It's common for people to outsource the boiler.Eventually I will get/build a loco, one day!!

  • @silver760

depends which way you look at maxi stuff. i dont think to much of it.

its not my loco! but would be nice to have it. the owner is someone i know from local model engineering club, who bought it secondhand from station road steam. thats all i can say really. theres a listing of it somewhere on their archives page.

  • Big for this gauge!

  • @Axbent

  • Right, this must be narrow gauge?

  • @d7106

    thank you

I always have that fear in the back of my head, but nothing has ever fallen off in the years i have been there, and i'v seen some fairly big locos go silly speeds
