Families braced for recession

Ordinary Russians are feeling the pinch as the global slump gathers pace. Unemployment has shot up by 20 per cent in the last four months with businesses shutting or laying off staff. But its not all doom and gloom. Falling house prices are enabling some families to buy bigger homes.

From my experience Russians are realist as well as use to doing with out,hence they generally know how to improvise.I can't say the same for my fellow countrymen,were heading down the same path as is the rest EU and Canada,the diff, is most don't know what is about to come down the pike and are ill prepared materially and mentally.That's my humble take on it anyways.God help us all.

Bloomberg and the Financial Times just like most Americans have their heads stuck in America, they only ever compare where America is to where America has been. American states are not even at 20% unemployment like Russia is.

In the Economy of the modern world what happens in one country (especially the wealthiest) effects all others. If the wealthiest countries became third world countries many of the others would just die out lol.
