River Dart Kayaking October 3rd 2010

My first trip on the river this season. Met a couple of new friends, Darren and Tom. We had a great paddle together. Let's hope the first of many this season!

Hey Buddy, you'll love it. I was about 13 when I first did grade 3/4 rivers, so you shouldn't be too worried! The Dart goes up and down really quickly so you need to hit it just after a big rain storm. Good luck with your paddling. Make sure you get that eskimo roll nailed and you'll be fine! Al

Awesome wave riding, looking forward to paddling my new molan in stuff like that. thanks to bournemouth canoes for all the help and guidance, hope to get my kartwheels sorted in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for the kind words. It was a great day out. If you can get down to the Dart it's a really fun paddle and that wave is really rewarding surf. I'm in the now "old" S6. Darren is in the Molan. It looks a really cool boat, you might know him from Bournemouth actually! Cheers, Ali

Cheers Tom, it was in really good condition. The first run it was about 18 inches higher than the second time!

Hi, Yes I know Darren! He has helped me alot with yaking, I also have an s6f at the moment, just waiting for Darren to pull his finger out and get my molan delivered ! Ha ha. Would live to meet up and paddle one day! I will speak to Darren and see where and when!!
