The Washington University in St. Louis football team rallied for a 44-37 victory over the University of Chicago on Nov. 7 at Francis Field in St. Louis, Mo. Junior running back Jim O'Brien ran for a career-high 163 yards and three touchdowns as Washington U. regained possession of the Founders Cup, which commemorates the first football game played between two University Athletic Association (UAA) schools. Since the inception of the Founders Cup in 1987, Washington U. has won 17 of the 23 games. At half-time, head coach Larry Kindbom was honored for his 20 years of service on the Danforth Campus.
