Motorola MTP850 Tested to Destruction Animation

Produced for HCT Creative in Basingstoke, this sequence shows the Motorola emergency services MTP850 tetra handset rigourously bashed, baked, frozen, electrocuted and dropped. In reality the men in white coats really do put the handset through these tests but making mobile-popsicles isn't very exciting to watch so Wowmedia worked with HCT to design a fun sequence of animated handset abuse. From a technical point of view it was a tricky brief as the transitions and effects all happen in front of the camera without the use any sneaky cuts to change between set-ups. A mix of real handset video, a VR 3dsmax handset and After Effects compositing was used to make the sequence.

This video is really amazing. High class animation. It is not low budget video like other Moto competitors do. In my opinion MTP850 is one of the best TETRA radio ever made.

@leolion007s Oh I have no doubt of its durability, I just think they should have shown an actual test. It would pass without a problem.  Motorola radios are very very tough. You have to really work to thrash one out.
