Pinocchio Meets the Talking Cricket

A drunken fairy tale from Uncle Frankenstein. There's some profanity and stuff, but this is much closer to the original book than Disney's version. Check out the Gutenberg Project where you can read it for free and see the original art of Pinocchio's feet being burnt to cinders, him hanging from a noose, and many other things kid's books these days frown upon. Then go read Babar while you think about its fascist connotations.
