@yurion88 I apologize myself for coming on that way. But I just see too many idiots on here commenting when they do not know what they are talking about. Glad you do. I looked at you as one of those idiots on the ground that's why I brought up the "same situation" scenario.
Relating to the going up instead of down. I would've rather put myself in danger, rather then other balloonists above me.
@adamcolvin PS I don't want you to feel offended nor I wanna offend anybody. I was harsh when I said "drunk". This just looks beyond my belief. Sorry. You are right. I don't know how would I react in this situation. I train not to do something like this.
@adamcolvin I don't think that my assumption was stupid. And no. I would'n do the same thing on her place. I know that red line opens vent on the top of the envelope. In her place I would risk high ascent rate (with so many balloons around) vs high descent rate (with so big planet below me)!
On the first place it was reckless to hit the building then to pull red rope without controll. If you wanna slow ascent, there is red/white rope instead of red one!
@yurion88 Before the balloon hit, the pilot saw the oncoming danger, so she burned. The added weight loss of the passenger made her go up faster. There are so many balloons around, there is a rate of ascent limit. Therefore the pilot pulled the red line (line attached to the top of balloon to let hot air out to make balloon go down) to make herself go down, too fast. BTW, don't make stupid assumptions unless you really know what is going on. You would have done the same in the same situation.
It's rare to see apologies on YouTube. It made my day.

Wasn't a co pilot. I think it was an elderly passenger.
