Hot Swing Guitar Summit - Whit Smith and Matt Munisteri live 2/18/10 "Mission to Moscow"

Whit and I have been getting together and playing The Hot Swing Guitar, whenever we find ourselves in the same town, since sometime in the 1990's. In 2010 we finally recorded a twin-guitar CD. The CD is due out in early "(turn it up) 2-11". This guerilla video was shot by our friend Drew Fleming at Brooklyn's own Barbes, the night before the recording session. We were trying very hard (with mixed results - uhm, thanks to mixed drinks) to remember a bunch of arrangements we'd come up with that afternoon. The mighty mighty Tim Luntzel is playing bass, and our friend Stanley's head is playing goalie.

Tastefull guitar swing playing over here ! congratulations guys ! Plenty of talent, accuracy and very nice melodic ideas ! Made me think of those great gentlemen of swing guitar : George Barnes, Junior Barnard, Oscar Moore, Teddy Bunn.... please advise when your twin guitar CD is out.. So frustrating to see the back of the first row guy instead of the nice ES 150... (what year ? ) ... ;)

@jazzguitaraddict Thanks! Tasteful? Hmmm...that's kind of you. It's a 1940 - long story behind its Mojo actually...but I'll save that for the Fretboard Journal or some other geek-fest quarterly. You gotta to admit: Stanley's head makes a great goalie.

Very nice. Youtube won't let me upload any of the Tiffany stuff, but this is an awful close substitute. Just picked up a '41 EH150 this week, and I hope I can get it to sound even remotely like this.
