My first sail in my Grumman open canoe on a small lake in Worcestershire. It has taken me a long time to get this sailing canoe built but it was well worth it.
@caaskey Mast is 6' 6" high. Spar and boom are 10' 3" long. Sail is 45 square feet (about 10' equilateral triangle). Leeboards are 9" wide and 3' from the pivot to the end. I never got knocked down once and it was blowing well at times so the set-up seems about right...
@b7gwap The sail is a genuine Grumman sail. There are a few still about on the internet. Try Ralph Frese at Chicago Canoe Land but be quick as he's selling his shop.

She's under way, all right. Pretty sail, did you make it or get it from another craft?

What are the dimensions of your sail (inc. area), mast & leeboards? I'm in process of adding sail rigging to my 14' canoe. Thanks!
