If I hadn't filmed this with my camera, NO one would have ever believed this story. The truth is, he thought I was filming him in order to complain to the FAA (0r whatever agency) and was also annoyed that I was near where he was spraying, for safety reasons. If you look at his face in the slo-mo footage, that is a man who is ready to kick some knucklehead with a camera's ass. Fortunately things worked out once I convinced him I was just a helicopter nut and showed him my high speed footage of him buzzing me before he landed.
- That's what happened and goes down as one of the strangest, and most exciting days of my life.
- Those were 60,000 volt powerlines we flew over, just clearing them by feet. I guess hitting the trees wouldn't have been much better. More fun than a roller coaster!
