Unlike some of his contemporaries I think Jessie is truely a musician who may be a star instead of a musician who in his heart of hearts really wants to be a star.Jessie likes to jam ,he likes to play you can feel it.and listening to him in interviews he's pretty knowledgeable about the history of blues guitar players and bands that paved his way.

@ccfunk1~Though I can't confirm who was in the studio at the time of this recording, but his drummer in Jesse Johnson's Revue was the great Bobby Vandell...At 2:17 you can hear Jesse say "VANDELL"...Bobby's one of my FB friends and is still doin' his thing in Minneapolis...He a good guy...Peace,, love & Jesse...
