Of course we eat pasta aglio olio e peperoncino in Italy! Usually we don't use any garlic in it :o)

@coolboxbueno The Pepperoni word (this word doesn't exist in Italian: the thing you called pepperoni we called it "salame piccante") is a corruption of the plural of the Italian word peperone (that in English is pepper, the vegetable), peperoncino (i.e. the hot pepper) has nothing to do with "pepperoni" :o)

Hm...I wonder why it's called Peperoncino. Anything to do with pepperoni although there's no pepperoni involved? Just curious.

I miss your comments during cooking. It was a nice source of kitchen vocabulary, I always new what ingredients you use and last but not least your comments are always funny.
