Greg Miller, Pilot & Producer of the Big Rocks & Long Props video series (V1-V4 & Idaho Backcountry). Ride along with Greg as he takes you into a few of the more notorious Idaho backcountry airstrips. Greg will provide his take on flying into Dewey Moore, Vines, Simonds, Mile-Hi, Fish Lake and more. This video is 58 minutes long, not including the bonus features. As bonus features, you will see Greg take off and land his home strip (one way, 300 ft. long, no go around), Greg fly a Turbine Maule with 420 SHP on amphibious floats, both from land and sea, and sneak previews from Volume 2 "Waterplay" and Volume 3 "On Ice". www.bigrockslongprops.com

  • Sorry you did not like it, I try and give people what they ask for but you can

not please everyone. The approach to Simmonds is not difficult, it is straight in and straight out, the hard part is the landing with the sidehill, which makes it feel like it is pushing you off the strip.

That is what I wanted to show but I guess it got somewhat lost in the translation.

  • I bought this DVD and was disappointed that there was zero footage of the approach to Simonds from the pilots viewpoint. Only ground level shots. Could have done without the trip to Big Creek. Seems like as waste of footage for a DVD called Big Rocks..The flyfishing scenes were a bit like watching someone's home movies. I paid for that? Would have been nice to use that time for some other airstrip approaches.

  • I just watched the idaho backcountry DVD- 4 times in a row. Such great footage! i would love to go to each one of the places! Thanks for putting that together, very informative, and very entertaining as well. Thank you!
