Gregory Quintero, a 17 years old Hispanic youth, and attended the Police Activities League. He was nominated by PAL and selected last spring by Bright House Networks as an Afterschool Youth Leader to represent Bakersfield at the Afterschool for All Challenge event in Washington, DC hosted by the Afterschool Alliance. He met with his states elected officials to discuss the importance of afterschool, and spoke at the Breakfast of Champions alongside US Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. Gregory developed a passion for soccer at the PAL, and is now attending college where he hopes to become a professional soccer player.
