Once I returned home I measured the distance of the groups with a micrometer. It came out to 5.8 MOA exactly.

  • Thanks for these videos! I've got a PSL that I built several years ago using some US reciever (kinda butchered it, really, but it goes bang just fine). My scope isn't directly over the barrel for some reason. How is the scope rail attached to the reciever? Is it spot welded? I need help fixing this thing

  • @abanyai123 It is spot welded and it isnt suppose to be directly over the barrel. Thats how it is designed to be left offset around 2 inches.

  • I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure how you managed this, but you apparently got one of the better built rifles. I can shoot .25" at 100 with my 700, but I am lucky to get 4" out of my PSL. I'm beginning to suspect I've got a problem with my optics or my barrel...

  • @Abaddonseven I have 2 PSLs and both are getting this kind of accuracy. Mostly the problem with PSLs isnt the barrel or rifle, it is the ammo your using. I have tested almost every type of x54r ammo out there and the most common i was lucky to get 4 MOA yes but when i used Russian light ball i was hitting 2 MOA and the 1-1.5 MOA was done with Bulgarian steel core which is now very hard to find. Happy i stocked up on 6 cases while they were available. Try different ammo first.

  • @sgtking11b Thanks for that tip. I'll watch for some Russian or Bulgarian.

  • @Abaddonseven Anytime.

  • You're doing better than that. 6moa at 600 meters is 36". 1 moa at 600 is 6", which is what you got. Impressive.

  • @lorddinaire the plate was a complete catastrophic failure. We were told NIJ III per testing 0101.04 specs. Label indicated AK-47 only or lesser at 15 meters... NIJ level III is a 7.62x51 148gr M80 ball round at 3-6 shots 5 meters (16.4 feet) from muzzle to target... Vice President indicated the plates were label AK for marketing but assured me they were NIJ III. It failed first shot on our NIJ III test... Hell it even failed AK impacts! The plate is a serious wash do NOT buy them. Vids to come.

  • lorddinaire, I would be interested in the 2 ammo boxes of Czech 54r.

  • Imagine what you might get with handloads. I'm going to order some Bulgarian ammo right now!

  • @sgtking11b Excellent test. Hope you can also do it from the maximum, medium and terminal ballistics of each ammo. Specially the 54R that in my opinion it's almost an anti- material round. I'l be tuned.
