Fully raced out Fiat x1/9. Put on dual Weber 50s on it to see how the car would run. Do to the jets being to big the car was getting to much fuel. After changing the jets im sure it will run like a champ.

  • Well the motor is built, the head is completely done and the compression was brought up a bit. I welded on 4 large cones onto the carbs to direct air into them. If the jets don't work, then I prob will go back to my 40s.

  • I would recommend a couple of Weber DCOE 40's instead. A carburetor has to have the right venturi (choke tunnel), otherwise it doesn't work as intended. A bigger tunnel might work at very high revs but looses a lot in the lower ranges. So, if it's a normal 1500 cc engine, go 40's, and use tunnels around 38 mm.
