  • Man, Classic Concentration was an AWESOME show!!!

  • @kambreesuncle2

    I'll say.

  • This tournament would have aired again in November 1990. I know they aired reruns starting on 10/28/91 of shows there were almost exactly one year old, through late August 1992, then they went back to air September and October 1990 episodes, and then I think went back to airing 1987-88 episodes through 12/31/93. . I remember Alex talking about a TofC in 1989 coming up, but I don't remember seeing it. Maybe May sweeps. The J! TofC final game also aired on the same day at this, 11/16/90.

This really IS the 1990 Tournament of Champions, judging from the 2-game format, and the end of the credits. And there really WAS a 1989 Tournament of Champions. I can tell there's one episode of that tourney in another trader's collection. This entire week I posted DID in fact come from reruns, but from late 1991-92. Plus, Wendy Gerhold was one of the champions competing in the tourney, and she was on back in Easter Week 1990.

  • @zachhoran

BTW, do you ever recall a late-1987 event where the fastest time over the course of a week or so wins a trip around the world? I remember Alex talking about it during the 3rd episode with the Takes.

  • Just want to thank you for posting all five. In order, no less!

  • I notice that Service Merchandise provided a lot of gift certificates for certain prizes. For those who are curious, I looked up the history of the company, and it seems interesting. The company was forced to go into Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 1999, and closed all its stores in 2002. However, the name was revived in 2004 as an online store.

  • @Jessyleppert

I will eventually. But for now, I must catch up on Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?.

  • @TVLubber Damn, Well maybe You'll have more of Jessy Leppert's Favorite Game Show posted, I mean Episodes that were never posted before.

  • @Jessyleppert

I would if I had all 5, but I only have the Friday show, and it's already been uploaded by the one I got it from in a trade.
