US to check Somali pirate menace in Gulf of Aden
The US government should work in close collaboration with other countries in the gulf to tackle piracy by Somali pirates in the region. We should not only take note but also applaud the sinking of a suspected Somali pirate vessel in the Gulf of Aden by an Indian navy warship. INS Tabar sank the pirate mother ship after it did not stop for investigation and instead opened fire. US with its best naval capacity can deploy its naval vessels and military aircrafts to effectively fight piracy off the coast of Somalia. International community must pick the challenge of restoring normalcy in Somalia since whatever happens there certainly has an effect on whats happening out in the Gulf of Aden. The region is an important transit route for both commercial and military supplies for the US fighting two most important wars in the region Iraq and Afghanistan. Destruction of Somali pirates becomes essential to ensure safe passage of vital shipments.
Nepali Supreme Court approves gay marriage
California voters may have rejected same sex marriage Nepali Supreme Court however has agreed to the same. The court by its ruling has upheld the basic human rights including the right to same sex marriage. In doing so the Apex Court has defeated the Maoist idea of having a Nepal that despises gay rights as bourgeois idea fit to be scorned at. And, why just California, Nepal has vanquished India, the worlds largest democracy which is seeking to criminalize homosexual sex and where lawyers are fighting an uphill battle to remove the proposed ban on gay marriage. For sure the world is turning upside down. Gays from South Asia once used to seek asylum in the United States it would be interesting to see the tide turning. Soon Californians would be heading to Nepal to get married in the shadow of the Himalayas.

Tollywood expresses solidarity with Sri Lankan Tamils
