Mark drinking a yard of beer in about 9 seconds! FYI This took place at the Carpenters Arms in Coed Y Paen, South Wales in the summer of 2005

When i was at a pub in Birmingham the guy who had the world record was timing people. Who ever did it the fastest got to keep the yard glass. I still have that yard glass up in my loft some where :')

The fastest drinking of a yard of ale in the Guinness Book of Records is 5 seconds: Peter Dowdeswell of Earls Barton, Northamptonshire, England, drank a yard of ale containing 2 imperial pints (1.14 litres or 1.20 U.S. quarts) in 5 seconds at RAF Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire on May 4, 1975.
Former Australian Prime Minister Bob Hawke was at one time the world record holder, for fastest skulling of a yard of beer.

This particular yard glass is three pints. I didn't know a 2 pint yard glass existed. I wonder what the record for a 3 pint yard glass is......maybe 9 seconds! hehe
