There are two purposes for this video:

1) To prove that I do not use a turbo controller.

2) A how-to video showing the method I use to get around in Symphony of the Night. After watching this, perhaps you will use this method too. It'll definitely speed up your game.

  • I'd like to ask one thing. I thought you needed 1700-ish rooms to fight Dracula at the end, but I only see you have less than 1000 in your run? Did I miss something?

  • Who told you that? Only things you need to get to Drac are all the parts of Vlad.

  • I use the Shoulder Buttons to Shield Dash after i configure the Back Dash to L2 and the Shield to R2.

  • I guess you could say that shield dashing is a good rule of thumb

  • Ill try that thanks! My thumb is bigger than yours(Its not the size, but how you use it..Right?)

  • This is how i play to i could play with every button only with the thumb its really good when you know how to use it your really good

  • This is the same way I did this when I started playing SotN. I use that rocking motion with my thumb for anything like this that requires quick alternating button presses. It does cramp your hand after a bit, but it's *so* much better than simply backdashing and certainly just walking.

    Awesome speedrun BTW.

  • is it alternate? i cannot do that fast bcause i only play on emulator. i copied your run it took me 51 min.. thx 4 uploading!!

  • Ah, I misunderstood the "Best ending" part (I just beat the game myself with the best ending, by the way), I thought that meant you wouldn't fight Dracula at all.

  • This was my exact thought.
