Probable Cause To Why Your PS3 won't read disks

I came up with some ideas as to what could be the cause with your PS3 if you keep getting problems with it reading disks.

@creamybunny2412 what exactually happen to you ps3 did it blackout or didn;t load the disk. Cause sometimes it will also blackout, but if it won;t load the disk then turn it on, and there are 2ways to fix it. one is to switch off the main power buttion in the back when the ps3 is on and then turn it back on, or 2 just go to system settings and select restore DEFAULT settings not restore ps3

and other times it will take the game but it doesnt want to play it . it doesnt come up on the game screen were you usually click on it to play it

oh okay I see then you need to see my how to fix ps3 disk load problem video cause the fastest and easiest way to fix your problem is shown in the video just turn the back switch off and then turn it on and then the turn on the front and then put disk in and try it now. if not work try again until it works

you need to download a hdd update or reinstall your firmware all of this problems can be solved and if you don't know what to do and have no solution don't waste people's time with stupid reasons

@TweeTwee56 you cant, these videos rarely work, if ur game is not reading the disc, any disc at all, u need a new blu-ray in your ps3. i've been trying shit on youtube for like 1 1/2 years, it doesnt work.

turning the ps3 on by the switch at the back wont make no difference to wether the disc reads or not. it is 1 of 3 possible faults. 1 currupt files on the hard drive wich can be fixed easily and checked easily see my video. 2 dirt on the laser wich can be cleaned for nothing again see my video on how and for proof. 3 a brocken laser in wich case you need to replace.

u r exactly right...this happened to my ps3 40 gb...im getting a slim in may.

@MyDying0ath you need a new laser with a carrage. You can get it for like £40 and install it yourself
