I am unsure of the payload of a 1997 Ranger, however to find out you just subtract the curb weight from the GVWR. You are quoting towing capacity, which is much greater than payload.

Our ATV/Snowmobile truck deck will fit the Toyota Tundra, but not the Tacoma nor Ranger (box dimensions of those trucks are too small). Unfortunately 2 snowmobiles or 2 ATVs would put you overweight (check the GVWR of your truck).

hey Marathon truck decks and truck boss decks im just getting sick and tired of throwing 4sandbags or 6 sandbags for weight thts why im thinking ot buying a TRUCKBOSSDECK KIT

The new TRUCKBOSS deck will technically fit either of those trucks...however you don't have the payload to carry a deck, 2 snowmobiles, gear, and a driver/passenger with a Ranger/Taco (somewhere around 1200lbs). Some 1/2 tons will manage, but we generally recommend a 3/4+ ton truck.

$3575 is the cost of these i just bought one on 12-12-09 i live in alaska and i looked around the net and the price was the same no matter what state it was. i will say one thing the first time you go up it. wow takes more speed than you think. but it works great..............i like it better than a trailer
