This is Mark Richards hosting another pre-taping rehearsal game of Jeopardy giving contestants a "feel" as to what it's like under pressure and under the lights prior to the actual taping session. (Mark's hair is a bit longer in this clip compared to the earlier clip)

Mark Richards, here. The rhearsal games were really for the contestants to get a "feel" for pressing the buzzers, reading the answers, etc. Technical problems, bad camera shots, incorrect score totals were not important.

5:23 It appears that Mark improperly read that clue. He left out "in Europe", affecting contestants' responses. Surely, if that was a real match, these contestants would have been brought back for another game due to production error...

The only difference is that they would use a fill-in sound from October 1997 SNL Celebrity Jeopardy!
