You do realize that there's translations and faqs on gamefaqs.

If anything they should release Alpha in HD and updated animation considering how dated it is compared to @2 and @3 and even @G. I think that the animations were more detailed in Z. For example, you'll see some units with just beam rifles move around and fire several shots whereas many in Alpha series just fire one standing still.

Nothing comes close to the SD animations in Alpha everything is just perfect, but with Z to much refinement destroyed the soul of the game. I hope they re-release Alpha 2 and 3 in HD for PS3!

You can probably find the info to this Gundam on the Gundam Wikia, just search Wing Gundam (the first one shown on the show). The first MS in the AC Era was the Tallgeese I, the first designed Gundam to use the Zero System was the Wing Zero (the second one shown on the show piloted by Milliardo first or the angelic winged one).
The Zero System was only used on the Wing Zero and Epyon I believe, aside from the side stories. The "best" pilots are debatable based on personal opinions.

This gundam is the OVA (Endless Waltz) version of the Wing Gundam (the first one piloted by Herro in the show) that was the weaker/toned down version of the Wing Zero Custom (angel winged, EW/OVA version).
The EW (or Ver. Katoki) versions are the same gundams that appear in the show except they have been redesigned (for the better in my opinion). The EW versions are more sleek, modern, have redesigned (removing, modifying or new) weapons and overall look.
