I don’t see anything wrong for parents who give their children a device that enhances their safety. The fact that there are perpetrators, pedophiles for instance, who are waiting for a chance to devour these helpless children gives the parents a good reason to protect their own kids.

I am glad Jaycee Dugar is not your child & I hope nothing like that ever happens to your family. But this comment smacks of negligence & criminal stupidity.
My children know that my JOB is to make sure that they are where they say they will be & I know their friends & their friends parents. Responsible parenting is not slavery, do not belittle slavery. Slavery is oppression, abusive forced labor. My kids aren't being exploited they are behaving responsibly. Now tracking a friend would be wrong.
