@awnok Sorry for the delay in replying. He has played some C6th I think. As for being a master of the instrument; there are so many different tunings on both necks that it is surely impossible to master them all. But I see your point. And lets not forget, 'Mr Nashville Sound' Lloyd Green, made most - if not all - of his recordings on the E9th neck - I dare you to say he's not a master of his instrument! LOL

@Factnotfictionpeople My point in return, is that David is a big fish in a small pond. Might be the finest player from the UK, I haven't heard them all. But he doesn't play the back neck(yet? You can correct me on that) and I believe that to be a great player, you should be a master of your instrument. As the brands, I'll go for the order you placed them in.

@awnok I never said anything of the kind. But I hate it when people - usually the Yanks - come across with all this 'Only American Steelies are any good' cr*p. I have been listening to PSG for many, many years and I can tell good from bad. So many of the American 'fans' almost salivate over even mediocre US players - see below. My point was - and is - that David Hartley IS a brilliant player. As for copying - which came first; the Sho-Bud, the Emmons or The Zum?
