  • I have been wondering whether to get this one or the sigma 8-16mm for the D7000.

  • @unap16 your struggling with a constant f2.8 vs a 3.5-5.6? no contest really

  • With which camera was this taken?

  • @OlliTheAwesomeone the description tells you

  • oh hate to burst your bubble there but this lens has been rated, reviewed and researched and has been found to be a lot better than nikon or canon similars.

  • @magix93 (jackass)

For a crop sensor camera this is the BEST ultra wide zoom. Its has been proven time and time again. You can't really compare it too $1600+ wide glass intended for full frame cameras (even though the image quality is almost just as good) because they serve entirely different purposes. Please spare us from any more of your juvenile brand whore comments.

  • How would the new Sigma 8-16mm compare to this Tokina 11-16 ?

  • dom have you used the tokina 12-24mm f4? im really struggling to decide which is more important to me, the range or the larger apature, any tips would be appreciated.

  • @dombower I am not struggling. Just wondering because Tokina is the faster glass here but Sigma does have a wider field of view. Also if you have tested both how is the Tokina compared to Sigma from 11mm-16mm?

  • @dombower Well, thats true. If you don't want the heavy but very sharp beast with huge front element...Get this lens, this is the best option to nikon after the 14-24.

  • @FinlandApollo but they are cons like what jmstew0319 mentioned before. I have used the Nikon 14-24 and it beats this lens hands down but as mentioned, on a cropped sensor this is one of the best

  • @jmstew0319 True, but it isn't the fault of the lens that it isn't so wide.

  • @FinlandApollo And costs way more. And wont be near as wide on a crop sensor.
