"GIMME MY MONEY"

The fatalities on the Genesis version were mostly intact, provided you entered the blood code. True the graphics were not as tight as arcade, but I have fond memories of MK1.

That is all completely wrong. First, Midway was not responsible for the SNES version, Acclaim was. Second, it was Nintendo that forced Acclaim to self-censor the game for the SNES. Acclaim clearly had no problem releasing the game with the original blood and fatalities on the various Sega platforms and home computer platforms. As an aside, the CD version (as oppose to the original floppy release) of Mortal Kombat for DOS is the best port available outside of emulation.

@MrPlaystationkid I'm not sure, but I heard or red something about that they tried to write it raiden but their is a command in the mk and mkII codes that is named like this. So, to fix that problem they just put an y instead. I can't remember where I heard of this tho...

Mickey Mouse voice
@thebig1
Not really. The game was toned down too much; the controls were "slowed to respond" and the fatalities weren't the same as the arcade. The best version is still the arcade.
