Did you ever wonder how a diaper absorbs liquid without leaking?
The secret: a superabsorbent polymer called sodium polyacrylate
A polymer is a long chain of repeating molecules
Water is drawn into the molecules of the polymer
Some can soak up as much as 800 times their weight in water!
