27th Annual Philippine Culture Night

A popular dance originating from the Tausug people of Jolo, Sulu. The dance features graceful dancers performing fluid, limber and languid broken arm movements simulating birds. Female dancers typically wear janggay, long decorative brass fingernails.

Note: It's unfortunate that the only people who post comments are Filipinos who want to feel superior by pointing out flaws or posting nasty comments. The performers are Filipino American students with limited knowledge of the Philippines, but a lot of pride in learning about their heritage. They've dedicated weeks learning about the cultures of the Philippines and sharing it with their community, despite limitations in budget, costumes, and resources.
