Replace the potentiometers found in the Amp kit with digitally-controlled pots so you can control the volume with the MCU. But it's good idea to put an analog pot to MCU's ADC if you still want to control volume manually so you don't have to always use your phone. I have used Maxim(dallas) DS1867 digipots, got them for free as samples from Maxim, and they are available as DIP packs. Pretty easy to control with MCU, alltough you have to do bit-banging 'cause they dont support any generic protocol

could you go on and explain how to make the high amp power supply as well? The most I've ever seen, minus the ATX power supply, is around 2 amps
