  • beloved aunt Judy, thank you very much for this video, it's really helpful. i love it. ^^

  • @missingcactus

well, thank you very much. please keep watching and learning and like me on my facebook page.

  • Hi Judy, I am knew at knitting and i like this video it's very simple, but i have a question: in the video you are just doing knit stitches, what if you are doing ribbing and want to add the knew color? Do you have to do knit stitches to make sure it doesn't come out or will it work while alternating knit to purl to knit as well?

  • @8PAlice

sorry it took so long for me to get back to you and you've probably already figured this out, but it's best to add color on a knit stitch. If you do ribbing you have no choice, but there will be bumps that show up.

  • @knittingtipsbyjudy No problem. Thanks for even replying!! :) I have another question.. (sorry i'm a beginner) How do you add color (w/o having to do a whole row) and not end up with one messy "back" side (i.e. fair isle-ing) in something you want to be 'reversible' such as a scarf?

  • @8PAlice

watch my videos on FAIR ISLE knitting, but the back will not look as good as the front. for a reversible scarf it's a problem.

  • Ms. Judy, I would like to let you know that one of the things I have always wanted to do is knit. Since I was a young girl I always had that urge to make scarves and socks all that stuff. My mother never taught me how. She doesn't have the patience or she just didn't care. I don't have any grandmas who could teach me either. Now in my late 20s (I turned 30 2/23) I have started to knit because of YOU! You have helped me with this (humble) dream I had. For that I would like to thank you. THANKYOU

  • Finally someone shows how it's done from the very beginning... there doesn't exist a single video in german! Thank you very very much Judy!

  • @backtobasicliving

  • @MagicBleeds did she ever answer your question? I have the same problem, it almost seems like you have to go back and forth.

  • You are a saint. Thank you so much! :)
