Gods are all about Men

On Sept 6th, 2011 -- Intelligence Squared Australia staged a debate. Three clerics and theologians took the position that atheists were wrong and three philosophers said they were not. To me, the best speaker was Jane Caro who blasted all religions for their treatment of women. Other women have done the same, but Jane was one of the best -- I kept thinking "Is she a female Hitchens?" Maybe not but she is close.

Woman's place is behind their husbands. They should be subordinate to their husbands, the bible says so.  If the bible says it I believe it that settles it. the end :p

Great, now I'm itching to see the whole debate, particularly the part already mentioned by MrItchyTasty in this section. But I can't seem to find it anywhere; only written commentary, followed by endless comment sections full of theist commentary trash.

Wish you had tagged on Tracey's response to her argument at the end, how she states that the reasons women aren't ordained as catholic priests has "nothing to do with the equality of the sexes" along with the audiences reaction.
