A Cessna 150 pilot had engine problems and had to land in this very tight park , which is right behind my condo apartment complex and a local high school. Luckily school is still out for Xmas and there was only one girl on the field, who was able to get out of the way.
The pilot with 20 years experience said that the motor was starved for fuel, and thinks there was crap in the tank that clogged the fuel line. Very lucky, plane clipped trees on the way in and the descent angle had to be very steep as the condos on the side of the park are quite high. Good emergency landing, with very little run out . NO injuries at all

  • NICE LANDING!!

  • @illichsol thanks for watching

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan, man I love that guy's music, ... was so dissapointed when he died. Hey Ronin, it's garry from the flying club. I just stumbled on your videos tonight. Great videos. Really nice to see the mission field. Hope I can get out one of these days.

  • @TailSpin46 thanks a lot, ya mission is a great spot. You'll have to come out for the Heli fun fly this summer. We've had some really good turnouts last couple years

  • how do they get it out of there?

  • @Jamesfromnyc took the wing off, and put it on a flatdeck truck

  • Thanks for the reminder of this weird day!

Thanks to all those remarking on my abilities as a pilot.

Shame on those who assumed drugs were involved, I would NEVER compromise my license by something as stupid as running drugs.

I had an aircraft mechanic come out and remove the wings and it was loded on a flat deck tow truck. The plane would probably have flown fine, but not near enough room to take off.

  • Wow! It seems that if you don't go flying the flying comes to you!

    Interesting vid.

    Cheers

  • @TheCabeese Congratulations for keeping head and plane together in an emergency! I scraped up too many aircraft that weren't as fortunate, nice to see one where I don't have to respond to.

  • I landed at vinyl haven, maine.. that was one short field.

  • @cessont Apoco Eres piloto y estabas en Vancouver jajaja, y que mala onda que no nos conocimos yo tambien soy piloto en Langley y soy de Estado de Mexico.

  • @TheCabeese Say sorry to the tree! Haha, just kidding, great landing and it is situations like these that determine true pilot skill.
