A couple of years ago a farmer in the villaged brought a cat backhoe had it only for six months because it was crap, best part was he was crapping on about how good it was and then sending it back only to get a JCB, he was a yank.LMAO

In Munich at BAUMA07 the company showed their backhoes the same way, but with females driving and operating them. Those were normal office agents and employees from JCB that were trained by experts first before performing this type of show. And they did really good at that.
And JCB has a tradition, that's the second reason for this show... because Mister JCB himself started with this way of presentation.

JCB, Cat, John Deere, Terex, Komatsu, every one likes a different brand.
JCB has the biggest range on backhoes all over the world. Jot just by the type like Mini CX, Midi CX, 1CX and so on.
They have different groups within each. Mini CX, Mini CX 4x4, Midi CX (with detachable backhoe), 1CX, 2CX (at least 4 different types), 3CX (about 8 versions of the CX3), 4CX (at least 3 versions I know with the 4CX-TM and the 4CX M) and the HMEE backhoe. No other company has this type of range.

Just because you say your number 1, doesn't mean its true. Sure they sell a few backhoes overseas... but so does Case, Deere and Caterpillar. Cat isn't number 1 in the backhoe market either, John Deere and Case are the major players and they have been for a long time.

Ok... I have been following the comments for the last couple days. I have run JCB, Deere, Cat, Case, New Holland and a few others when it comes to backhoes. While I do like the JCB show, they do not make the best backhoe on the market. I have done what they are doing there the last couple days just to amuse myself, but any backhoe will do that! JCB is just the only company that decides to do something more interesting to advertise their product. But as far as the product goes... its junk!
