One of the greatest of the Byrd's many great songs. The harmonizing on the long version is the best there is. Loved them in Fresno in 1965!!

Nothing at all against the Beatles (loved 'em back then still dig 'em now), but my first memories of the Byrds were when my older brothers would spin a 45. I just gravitated to their sound more with those suspended chords, the overall tone of the guitar, and the groove.

David has one of the greatest voices in rock which he employed in one of rock''s greatest bands, up to and including The Notorious Byrd Bros. after which they became something quite different.

crosby is so damn creepy

So what do you do after you get kicked out of the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, and the Hollies? You form Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. So there......

This was my very favorite song for several years. They Byrds were the only electric band really happening in America until about 1967 when Hendrix exploded
