Following implementation of electronic health eecords at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville, staff members realized it could be a key strategic tool in the concurrent review process.
Patients with community-acquired pneumonia, congestive heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, and selected surgery patients are identified at admisison and monitored and notes are left to track their progress and take appropriate action.
