One of the biggest selling points for many people, when they purchase a pond, is the wildlife it will attract to their yard! A pond alone will attract birds, but a stream and a pond will really encourage birds to flock to a property. Shallow, flowing water is a favourite place for birds to bathe. Streams add the dimension of motions which gives your landscape a life of its own. They are also very important in cultivating and encouraging wildlife to develop. One benefit a stream provides is added filtration. Water flowing over gravel is a natural filtering process. The highly oxygenated water flowing over the gravel supports large numbers of beneficial bacteria.

If your looking to buy a pond there are a few things you should consider.

First are you serious about having a pond and are willing to take care of pond and the koi. Or are you fascinated about having the sound of rushing water...

A koj pond is a hobby and it will take a some maintenance to keep up the ponds ecosystem for the first few years. A pondless waterfall is the same as the pond without the pond. You can have 3 foot waterfalls or a 20 foot stream running through your yard with out the pond. This version is kid safe for the most part, meaning there is no pool of water just a few inches flowing over rocks. they are great to play with.

Your budget will ultimately will be your decision how what your pond will become. A small 2000 gallon ponds will start around $6500.00 with everything included. A larger pond like 8000 gallons will run around $14,000.00 even these ponds will vary depending on whats in the ground. Will there be a 2 feet of solid rock or will it be dirt all the way down. Will the pond be built with smaller rocks or will it be built with boulders. We do not use bead filters or uv lights, its a waste of money and just masks the problems of a pond. I do have a proven system that will make your pond crystal clear and the fish will love it as much as you would. Consider that I can possibly save you 1000's of dollars from other pond builders. We are about 30% less expensive than hill counrty water gardens and sometimes 40% less than any other random pond builder. I am the owner and I build the ponds.
