@Charlenefabulous Well, it's not like Mr. Magoo wasn't a looker or anything. Either way, who cares?

yes yes, I know Nielsen was among canada's great comics. the movie "airplane" really got him into comedy. "naked gun" was big hit as well.
In Nielsen's previous and serious acting , began with hit "forbidden planet". he was as well the ill-fated skipper in the popular Gene Hackman-lead "Poseidon adventure" movie.
He will forever live in film and continue to charm many family audiences for years to come.

if I had to pick between a date with Mr. Magoo or Ebert, Magoo would be it

If you like Abbott & Costello you'll like Mr. Magoo. If you only like perverted dirty comedies and were beaten and fucked by your dad as a kid you won't like Mr. Magoo.

Someone's gotta say it---Leslie Nielsen was NOT a comedian, nor was he a gifted comic actor. He was only funny when he worked with the Zuckers in their prime,as was Lloyd Bridges,Charlie Sheen, etc.I mean, just look at all those Zucker-wannabe filmmakers who cast him in their forgettable comedies.
And casting the 6-foot-whatever Nielsen as the bald, gnomelike Mr. Magoo?!?Whose bright idea was that---the same person who thought this movie was a good idea?!?

Worse than the postman? Is that possible?

R.I.P Leslie

My mom watched the original cartoon Mr. Magoo and she find's this movie stupid (in the original cartoon Mr. Magoo is supposed to be blind but she thinks that the movie made it look more like he's drunk)

@GusF Disaster Movie... Don't tell you find The Post Man to be more worthless than that.
-
@uadfa I don't think that any movie is more worthless than "The Postman" frankly.
"Even more worthless than The Postman."
Ooh, that's harsh.
