After turning down "The Egyptian," Marlon Brando agreed to star with Jean in "Desirée"--the true-life story of Napoleon Bonaparte and Desirée Clary. Michael Rennie plays Jean-Baptiste Bernadotte, Desirée's husband, in this clip. Merle Oberon appears as Empress Josephine.

  • If anyone's looking to download this movie, you can Google for the torrent, " Désirée.(1954 avec Marlon Brando).VOSTFR.DVDRip.XVid ". The file is around 1020MBs, and the torrent takes some time to properly start downloading, but I assure you that it's legit. Its run time is 1hr45min.

  • @emangi1 No actor can capture anything as well as Brando, except, perphaps, in comedy.

  • Great film but video too dark to watch. Simmons was superb.

  • @emangi1 Thank heavens that someone finally agrees with me that Brando's take on Napoleon was superb, although mostly forgotten. And if Jean Simmonds wasn't a striking beauty in this film she was career beautiful and I was in love with her since I was eight years old and saw Young Bess. All the best,

  • ANYONE PLZZZZZZZZZZ UPLOAD FULL MOVIE Desirée (1954). THANKSSSSSSS

  • @DirRgnNisShiTa Try Amazon.com. Good luck :)

  • @FeelMichaelJackson i dunno... Jean Simmonds wasn't necessarily projected as a striking beauty in the film, and the similarity between Brando and the tableau portraits of Napoleon is almost uncanny. Not to mention I highly doubt any actor today would capture Napoleon as well as Brando did.
