@Boulderdevil They ARE considered among the greatest series ever played. That they didn't take place in the finals doesn't diminish this fact one iota.

Man, I miss the days when the Avs and Red Wings were the baddest rivalry in all of sports. And I wish everyone would quit badmouthing the other team, because those were days of a storied rivalry that we will tell our grandkids about. These two teams were the baddest MOFO's in hockey during that time, and unfortunately played in the same conference. If these games had been played during the Stanley Cup finals, they would be considered among the greatest series ever played.

actually, thankfully they were in the same conference, because if they weren't we wouldn't of seen half of what we saw. Including the Draper hit from behind.
