  • 個人名義のアルバムは当時皆無に近かった、アーシー、スピリチュアル、サックスマン、デューイ・レッドマン、この"BODY"が大好きだヨ! 親父の意地音 #jazzm

  • U all think "Hawk" could have slung some serious hash with these cats.

Or is the chasm too wide to bridge? Lord I hope not. All jazz greats must push

the envelope, just as long as they don't tear it and it loses its meaning. You dig.

But I guess it all comes down to whatever floats your particular aquatic device,

if you pick up my drifty drift.

  • Actually, this tune is called "Boody".

    Recorded 1974.

Bass: Sirone (born Norris Jones, died a year ago at age 69)

    Drums: Eddie Moore

  • Anyone, who plays any instrument, can get everything they want to know about the blues from this track...Dewey used to live in East Flatbush just minutes away from me and I didn't even know. If I had, I would have asked him about this piece.

  • @sublimedog actually the name of the album is "ear of the be-hearer"

  • who is the bassist?

  • @gcrav I think it's unfair to say Dewey was just a sperm donor. Yes he didnt have much to do with raising Joshua but do you really think Joshua Shedroff would have been as big if he didnt have Dewey as a father to help open a few doors for him in the jazz world when he was starting out? ..... Lets just say a lot of people took more notice of him when they found out he was "Deweys Kid"... so much so he chose to changed his last name arround the time of entering the Monk competion.

  • @jamf3591 He grew up as Joshua "Shedroff " Shedroff being his Mums last name this was the name most of his college mates from the bay area new him. If you google that name there are a few interesting interviews from him including one entitled "The Law, Race Relations, and All That Jazz | The Harvard Crimson" goin back to 91 before he became famous.
