Rickey Henley Henderson (born as Rickey Nelson Henley, December 25, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder who is baseball's all-time leader in stolen bases[1] and runs scored.[2] He also holds the single-season record for stolen bases. In a 25-year career with nine clubs, Henderson's high on-base percentage, power, runs scored, and stolen base totals made him the premier leadoff hitter of his era; many consider him the best ever.

  • @darkoanton5 Athletics.

  • @darkoanton5 Don't be pickin' Ricky's English. lol Hey. There was a funny story about Henderson and a cheque he was given when he sign fro I think the Yankees (but I'm not 100% sure). He framed it and hung it on his wall. I think his agent or business manager wonder why the cheque wasn't cashed. lol

  • @darkoanton5 I think you need to re-read and check your english. Funny reference yes, but true, no. Gord Ash is a moron, and will forever be remembered as such.

  • @aporchmonkey See that what happened to the Jays. You must be Gord Ash. lmao

  • @darkoanton5 12 H, 8 RBI, 2 HR and 10 R. That's what you're supposed to hitting third, drive them in, and "them" is supposed to be Rickey. Tell me, how many players who on average hit third are asked to score more runs than their leadoff man? How many leadoff men are asked to hit more homers and drive more in than the middle of the order? Why are guys behind him scoring more runs? That's why Molitor won it, he did what he was supposed to, and Rickey largely failed in what he was supposed to.

  • @aporchmonkey Molitor had 10 runs and was MVP. Henderson was 3rd in run production. What kind of pitches were the other Jays getting when Henderson was on base? He reached base 11 out of 27 plate appearances. But, I guess that didn't help the batters coming after him. Henderson was always at getting on base.

  • @xslash86 Best ever? Think you need to read up on a little history. He has no place in beside the greats of all time. The greatest leadoff hitter or SB men ever yes, but greatest, ever? Not a fucking chance.

  • @darkoanton5 We scored 45 runs in 6 games, and he only scores 6 of them? He had one stolen base in one attmept, while standing at first 8 times(5 BB,3 1B) hitting leadoff. Does Rickey ever need 8 looks to attempt a SB? I could put up better numbers than that with that team behind me, and those legs under me. White, Molitor, Carter, Alomar, Fernandez. That's DAMB good protection. And you can't score more than 6 times? Please. If he's the greatest like you all claim(no hate), they should be higher

  • @dkitty8124 He was criticized here in Toronto for his performance in the WS. But, he had 6 runs in 6 games. He had 5 walks and a OBP of .393. . Some people just don't get it.

  • @xslash86 What does money have to do with anything? Plus your no better than the other guy calling him an asshole. And why get all worked up over baseball?
